RAVEN
What role(s) does the raven play in the narration?
Regarding what I have read, and from my point of view
and having analyzed it, I would believe that the crow represents a very
important point and role there. It could be said that it has a symbolism of
death, darkness, something also a little more complex, as one could say a void,
a relief, a very deep rest very far away, difficult to find. his moment, his
intervention, his physical state, his presence in the different ways in which
we can see and feel him, framing what can be said to have happened at the moment
of being the narrator, with a curious and peculiar word that remains in our
consciousness, nevermore, which represents what will happen or what will not
happen in the future, like not being able to see his beloved Leonore. You can also see
and reflect too much, which acts as transparency or a reflection, so to speak,
but something clearer like a mirror that shows us how more, we see
restlessness, fear, desperation, curiosity in becoming something mysterious or
something more appropriately supernatural. To conclude, we could say in short
words that the body represents for the narrator how he is trapped in a deep
darkness and that he is eternally trapped and living in deep and great pain
with no way out.
